Hello, it's Clarice
New Year, New Everything
One morning in December, during devotions, I came across this quote,
“There’s a metaphor Vincent Eades likes to use: “If you examine a butterfly according to the laws of aerodynamics, it shouldn’t be able to fly. But the butterfly doesn’t know that, so it flies.”
― Howard Schultz
It got me thinking about how we are constrained by our culture’s impositions. How many of us just take people at their word and never question things. Being a woman of Indian decent, I was raised to mutely obey without question. If you question, you were made to feel that was a stupid question. But there are no stupid questions. More so, life is full of questions, we must ask. If we cannot find an answer, we must take cautious chances and learn the answer for ourselves. It is the only way to learn.
So, what am I capable of in 2015? I’m going to take a chance on ME and find out.
