Earlier this year I was doing a wedding invitation suite for a friend that needed watercolour peonies. Ofcourse I became obsessed with painting them, all the time.
I spent a lot of time experimenting various techniques. I found out it is very important the quality of paints and paper involved. Through this time, I used Koi watercolour and St Petersberg White Nights. For paper I used Arches cold pressed sheets. Ok, enough blabbering, lets get on with the video.
So what do you think? How did they turn out?
Oh and here is the finished product – the wedding invitation suite – contains Invitation, RSVP, & maps.
The envelopes were handlettered, using Pearl Ex Silver and my favourite nib, Nikko G.
